The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a warning on Thursday (January 8) about a severe cold wave expected to hit North India. The weather department also predicted that dense fog would blanket several parts of North India, including Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi-NCR, and Uttar Pradesh.
